Look at the MATRIX chart above. There are lots of dates and you can pick either just ONE day as a mileage run or many days for a ski vacation this winter. If you live anywhere NEAR South Bend, Indiana (SBN) this could be a nice time to jump on this! (ORD or MDW are coming up $235 btw)

As a PURE mileage run it is not the BEST. In just one day you could go SBN-ATL-DEN-ATL-SBN and that will net you 3530 MQM at a cost of about 5.6 cents per MQM. For SBN that is a good MR price!

As a vacation to use your DELTA AMEX buy-one-get-one-free CERTS the price is very good for two. I have not booked this but look at the breakdown ALL-IN!

I always go to Utah each year as regular readers know, but I may just have to add in a quick trip to Denver as I have never skied there and for this kind of price – why not! – René

    How can you find out how many miles a trip is?

  2. Delta Points says:

    @Grant –
    I am assuming you are talking about how many you will EARN. Keep in mind with the AMEX certs only ONE of you will earn MQM and RDM! If you both pay, you naturally both earn! – REne

  3. Ted says:

    Why does delta say 2967 as the mqms earned in your screenshot?

  4. Delta Points says:

    @Ted – from SBN, you can connect via MSP, DTW, ATL and all routes will naturally net different MQM’s and RDM’s. As a vacation, I may pick flights that are not MAX MQM but better for time and (happy wife happy life) for my wife. I was just showing one option! – Rene

  5. [...] with a rate of under $7.00 a day, even under $14.00 a day with tax, for my ski trip to Denver on my Delta Reserve AMEX buy-one-get-one-free trip, I just have to try them. I have to ask [...]
